My 4 Favourite Palettes! ♡

12/24/2015 08:39:00 pm

Hey everyone! Today I have a very exciting post for you all! It is my top 4 favourite palettes. I was contemplating putting this post up now, or after Christmas because I have asked for makeup for Christmas and I might have got a palette so I wasn't too sure. I decided to just publish this post now because I haven't posted in a while.

Anyway, let's just get started.
(btw these pictures are awful, I wasn't having a very good camera day!!)

Here are my top 4 palettes. So I have the Soap and Glory: The Perfect Ten, the Make Up Revolution Iconic 3, the MUA Luxe Pretty Edgy and the Seventeen Eye Palette.

I absolutely LOVE all the colours in this palette. You can create so many different looks from a simple everyday look to a dramatic evening/party look. I do use this palette quite often to create a simple look. I usually use the shade 'nudecomer', which is a pale matte pink all over the lid, then I'll use the shade 'toasty', which is a more dark matte purpley pink, and then I use the shade 'smoulder', in my outer v. Smoulder is a dark navy/blue colour with a very little hint of shimmer but it is not a very shimmery shadow that creates fall out. All the colours in this palette are very highly pigmented and there is a nice selection of mattes and shimmers.

(THIS PICTURE IS TERRIBLE OMG SORRY^)

This is the Seventeen Eye Palette. This palette is just full of very highly pigmented shimmers. I only really use this palette if I am creating a dramatic smokey eye and I also use this palette for the first shade which is a champagne coloured shimmer. I like to use that colour as a highlight as it looks beautiful on the face when the light hits it.

This is the Make Up Revolution Iconic 3 palette. This palette is a dupe for the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette. I absolutely love this brand as they sell dupes for so many high end products at very, very low prices. The Urban Decay Naked 3 palette retails for around £40 whereas this palette which is just as good retails for just £4!! £36 saved. Again, all the colours in this palette are very pigmented and there is a nice range of matte and shimmery colours. I really do like this palette but one thing I don't like is that none of the colours have names.

This is the MUA Luxe Pretty Edgy palette. This palette consists of 6 shimmery colours and 4 matte colours. The shades in this palette are gorgeous and you can create so many different looks with this palette. The matte purple shade which is either called 'wrath' or 'gothic' is my all time favourite. I like to lightly put this colour in my crease and I say lightly because yet again these shadows are soooo pigmented. MUA and Make Up Revolution could quite possibly be my favourite brands for eyeshadows as their prices as so low but their pigmentations are so high.

That is it for this post. I really hope you enjoyed reading!
