My 2017 Goals | Aneesah Rahman ♡
1/11/2017 08:21:00 pmHey everyone,
This is my first proper post of the year and I am so glad to be sat here writing this because I have wanted to get back into blogging so much. In this post I just want to talk to you a bit about my goals for 2017. Hopefully I can stick to them because I am not very good at doing that.
I think we can all agree that 2016 was not the best of years for the world. Extremely upsetting things happened and all we can do is hope and pray that 2017 will be better for us all. For me, I also wouldn't say 2016 was the best year. I was full of negativity and stress that I needed to get rid off, that's why I am taking this new year as a fresh start. No I am not saying 'new year, new me', because I'm pretty sure everyone hates that saying. What I am saying is that I'd like this new year to be a lot more positive. I want to spend my time with people that make me truly happy and I want to do things I enjoy doing. To be honest, I don't have time to surround myself with negativity this year because as I am doing my GCSE exams I don't exactly want to be dragged down. I am gonna stop here and actually get into my goals now.
1. Fill up a Z-Palette with Makeup Geek eye shadows.
My first goal that I would love to accomplish by the end of the year is to fill up a Z-Palette. This is a very beauty based goal. In all honesty, I don't think I'll be able to do it because I am broke. I am going to try and save up some money so that I am able to achieve my goal. I have already picked out what colours I want to by so I guess I am one step in.
2. Drink more water.
I can just tell already that my friends are just going to be laughing at this goal so much. This is because I set this as one of my main goals for 2016 and let me just tell you, that did not go to plan. I probably drank loads of water for the first month and by the end of the year my body was lucky just to get a sip of water. I know that's extremely bad for you which is why I want to drink more this year and actually do it for the full year.
3. Don't overthink situations into bad things.
This is a really important goal for me. Throughout 2016 I would literally overthink every possible situation and make myself believe that it was all going to turn out so bad. When in reality, it really didn't. I am pretty sure most people do this every single day and I did it so much last year that it just got so bad. Once I faced the situation that I became so scared about, I would get so angry which myself because it really didn't go as bad as I thought it was. I am linking this goal back to what I said at the start of this post when I spoke about how I just need to be more positive. Not everything is a bad thing and if you have a positive mindset you'll see that. Every bad situation you come across actually has some good in it if you look close enough.
4. Work and study hard.
As I have already mentioned, I have exams this year. I really need to get my head down and I need to start working because I know I haven't been putting in as much effort as I know I can do. I really want to get good grades so I am going to be trying my best to motivate myself and to stop procrastinating about every single thing.
5.Take lots of pictures and make loads more happy memories.
This year I am going to fill a sketchbook with all of my memories of this year. In order to actually do that I need to take so many more pictures when I can and enjoy myself to create happy memories. After exams I really want to chill and have fun because for the next 5/6 months I am going to be working so hard so I am obviously going to be stressed and tired literally 24/7. Hopefully by the end of the year my sketchbook will be filled with photos of me, my family and my friends. If it does turn out well I might even make a blog post about it. I remember back in 2015 I had a jar and each time something happy happened I would write it down on a small piece of paper and put it in that jar. At the end of the year the jar was filled and I read back all the happy times I had that year. I really enjoyed doing that so I am kind of taking that idea and putting it in a sketchbook.
That's it for this post, I of course want to write so many more blog posts this year but I am not going to make that one of my goals. I hope you enjoyed reading this post and maybe it has given you some ideas so you can extend your own list of goals for this year.
Thanks for reading,
love Aneesah xo
